G'day!

Taking Shed Night home with us

Taking Shed Night home with us

So let’s get back to Shed Happens for a moment where we must feel safe to speak and not feel judged. We create the safe place and space at Shed.

As blokes we can’t leave this at Shed. We must take this into our homes, workplaces, and especially into our relationships with the ones closest to us. The benefits of being open and free to safely speak with and listen to the girl of our dreams takes our love into another place.

No more SILENCE or YELLING (defences) – we can now deal with the tough moments in our conversations.

Take care though, if you think you can go home from Shed and dump a bombshell on the girl of your dreams from something that came out at Shed. What you may have acted out over 20 to 30 years will take more than 5 minutes of someone’s opinion to put into practice.

Check the advice you wish to take home first with a trusted and close friend. Then tread gently so your girl feels safe. Our families are being torn apart because of our inability to talk fairly through the tough parts.

Champions, the Work Manual has more good advice on this one:

Know this my beloved brothers: let every person be quick to hear, slow to speak, slow to anger. (James 1:19 ESV)
